  • Ex-GOP Congressman Aaron Schock indicted on 24 counts

Former Illinois Republican congressman Aaron Schock has been indicted on 24 counts, including wire fraud. Schock made national headlines in 2015 for his Downton Abbey-themed office and an extravagant lifestyle showcased on Instagram. “This indictment will look bad, but underneath it is just made-up allegations of criminal activity arising from unintentional administrative errors,” his attorney George J. Terwilliger said in a statement. “These charges are the culmination of an effort to find something, anything, to take down Aaron Schock.” [New York Times]
